If you have another option to rent a car from another vendor besides avis or budget there do it. This location screwed me over. I rented a car even turned it in the same night with more fuel in it than I got. I was told that my 200$ hold (after being told it would only be 100) would be released that night. It still isn't up to this day...a week later. I had to call the customer service to have the contract closed out today. The stupid idiots at that location didn't even bother to close it out...and said it wasn't turned in till noon the next day with less fuel in it. I went through hell to get my money back. Stay far far away from this vendor at this location...you will regret it I promise you.
I rent from Budget through my business account and most of the time they provide me with quality service at the desk when I'm picking up and dropping off. ECP is smaller airport, but functional. One thing I would like to see is the availability of more vehicles in the class I'm renting. Overall, I am satisfied with their service.
Fast and cheap! Took two or three minutes to sign the papers and get my keys. The lady at the counter made the usual attempt to upsell me. "Hey, you're pretty tall. You sure you'll be comfortable in a compact?" Me: "Yeah, I'll be fine. I prefer something with good mileage." Her (joking): "I could put you in a Mustang; that's pretty compact!" Me (laughing): "No thanks." It was never high pressure AND the whole time we were talking, she was busy getting papers together for the compact car I was renting. So no time was wasted. Returning the car was as easy as walking up to the counter and handing in the keys.
Made a reservation for the trip. Called to make sure I could use my debit card to pick up and had a return flight and everything. After 17 hours of flying and layovers finally made it to Florida and went to get a car. The lady told me she couldNY rent tor me because of my card and my credit. It would have been fine if she told me this when I called and checked. So I went to Alamo and got a car for half the price of the budget car! Never using g budget again. I was so panicked that I would be without a car for my trip! Thanks to Alamo though!
In my research, Budget had the best price. When we arrived at the airport, our pick up was easy. The representative was nice, professional and explained everything clearly. I chose a compact car and much to our surprise, we got a new VW Turbo Beetle. It was more spacious than expected, a great drive, and good on gas. Return of the vehicle was easy as well. I was very pleased with Budget in Panama City Airport.
