Very happy that I found Dr.CARLA HUBBARD, I brought my Amazon parrot to her for a nail trim and so happy she is well versed in Avian care. She also noticed she needed a beak trim which was also done. That is normal for pet parrots versus parrots in the wild.
Carla the owner and Vet is compassionate, very knowledgeable. She is ready to help a sick or injured pet. And always ready to comfort a owner or pet when they come to her in a critical situation. She has 2 clinics one on 15th St. Just east of the fair grounds. And a second in Marianna. She also has clinics on Saturday to help reduce the costs of care, although you will have a wait. I have learned to go to her for my pets care. She also has vet techs to help care for your pet should you need help and she is out on a call. Her team is the greatest group to help love your pet should you need to board them. Or if the need medical attention.
Also noticed that after taking my parrot elsewhere for years for trimming of nails and clipping of wings, along with any health issues, I have to say this is the very first time when I got her back , she was very calm and not breathing hard, and stressed out.
This place is god awful and the staff members are the rudest people I have ever discussed with/met. I work in retail pharmacy and they continuously send prescriptions over that are carelessly written/don't follow standard law in regards to controlled substances and or regular antibiotics. Idk about you but it concerns me that these people don't seem to know basic FEDERAL regulation laws regarding medication. Please don't take your pet here. It's not worth the risk nor the hassle.
And the great news is she is just 5 minutes away! I love this place. Highly Recommend!
It can be said that compassion exhaustion will take a good place down. This community needs more caring people to come together and keep supporting and expanding such services that keep life worth living for and working at.
I found out that was the only Animal clinic open on Labor day. The doctor and the staff were wonderful, they took very well care of my little Blue. I'll definitely use them from now on. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
