Clean. Pleasant staff. Good experience all around.
Very experienced and compassionate staff we've been going to for 2 years. Called for an appointment mid-afternoon when really needing to get in that day and they had no issues accommodating. Took great care of our dog's urgent need, gave honest advice with a few options for treatment, and turned out to be fairly inexpensive. Highly recommended!
Dr Hayden is the best. He saved my dog's life when she had a stroke. He always listens and helps solve problems. He took the time to investigate health issues that previous vets misdiagnosed. Best vest! Plus his staff of techs are always the most helpful and caring! There was turnover at one point but it was because he only employs the best!
Agape has always had nice staff, and I've been coming to agape since getting stationed at Tyndall in 13'. However, the last year+ they constantly have new employees. To me this is a sign of problems internally. It also creates longer wait times and more uncertainty when it comes to getting assistance. Dr. Hayden himself is always polite, but today I was charged $15 to clip the nails off of one paw of my 18lb dog. Thats $3.75 per nail, and it took 45 seconds to clip all 4 nails. Then $45 for a 5 minute office visit, and $35 for 9 dog pills that run approx $1.17 per pill on petmeds. So for a few pills, one paw clipped and a short office visit I spent $100. That's nuts. Cost analysis comparison- analysis= $11 for meds, and let's just say labor for a good vet runs $100 an hour, in that case the 10min visit would cost roughly $17. Plus a few nails clipped maybe $5 max charge. Thats a should be total of $33. Comparison= a similar visit to a vet in Missouri ran me about $40-45 in Missouri tops, and that vet still made a profit. And yearly exam a few months ago and few vaccinations took 10min but cost $150 (was $50 in Missouri) (again 18lb dog). In short this vet is WAY over priced. Lastly AC at agape was also was either not working or barely on today. My dog panted and I was sweating without even moving. Not to mention pet hair was everywhere throwing my allergies all over her place. Granite it is a animal hospital so that part is kinda expected. But maybe if they had better continuity with employees keeping the pet hair everywhere under control might be easier. Not sure if I will return to agape. Hope this review helps other potential customers in choosing a pet doc in the future though.
I have been taking my cat (13 yrs) and puppy (6 months) here for routine visits and have always been happy with this vet. Yesterday, however, the staff at Agape did more for me than I ever could have hoped for. My puppy cut an artery open on some broken glass and I rushed her to Agape where the vet was able to quickly stitch her up. I am beyond thankful for the vet and vet assistants who quickly helped me, and for all of the staff who made sure I was ok during the ordeal. We made a mess of the office and I was an emotional mess but the staff at Agape handled everything so well, my puppy will be fine, and I couldn't be more grateful.
