I just dealt with Robert and Yates this past weekend. I was having a boat surveyed and my surveyor suggested Bay County for the haul out. I called and spoke to Yates on the phone and as a non-Florida resident, I was hesitant and a little worried about getting taken advantage of. You hear it and see it all the time. Let me just say that Bay County was GREAT from the get go. Yates took care of me on the phone and put all my worries aside. When we called on the survey day, they told us they'd get set to accept us, called us back a few minutes later and said, 'come on in." When we got in, they were super cool, courteous and professional. They knew what they were doing and hauled the boat (Cal 35) gently and pressure washed her for my surveyor. They took extra care to make sure we all got on and off the boat safely and hosed her down once we splashed. I would highly recommend these guys if you're in the Panama City area and need a small but qualified boat yard to handle your boat. I'm going back in May for a bottom job. Call Robert or Yates and they'll take care of you.
Not a very good neighborhood and boatyard isn't really watched well. Lots of unwanted activity.
