I have NEVER witnessed such abhorrent care from a so-called medical facility, much less had it occur to myself! And to add insult to injury, I was further delayed in getting timely treatment by being referred to an Out-of-Network provider, foolishly ASSUMING that since the hospital had of course taken my insurance info to secure it's own payment, it's staff evidently didn't have the common sense to NOT waste time referring to a dead end when it would have been better spent taking 5 frickin minutes to actually HELP the patient with such an EASY administrative task, as opposed to hinder and hurting said patient, as was done on that night. Security cameras could and will verify everything I've said here.
What damage I did walking around on a broken foot remains to be seen. Yet here I'm being hounded for payment for services that I wouldn't inflict on a dog, which is what that woman made me feel like. It was cruel what happened under that breezeway.
They are always under construction so you won't get a room unless you're bleeding out. You'll sit on a geurney in the hallway for hours waiting to see a doctor.
The very best in care and friendly health care. Everyone makes it as easy and pain free as you could ever expect. Thank you Gulf Coast, for restoring my faith in the medical field.
They contract doctors from other offices so billing procedures take forever and it's very difficult getting an itemized bill to explain the outrageous invoice.
The young female medical assistant acted as a deceitful passive-aggressive individual hiding behind a sly grin and she did NOT have my interest, and her behavior that night as she watched and listened to me struggle, it flies in the face of everything that Hippocratic Oath she lied in taking stands for.
The ER medical assistant abandoned a 56 year old man with a broken foot and shoulder, with NO wheelchair, NO hard cast which would facilitate safely WALKING around a hospital for a half hour trying to get out, and NO assistance exiting the hospital AT ALL. As a matter of fact she sat on the bench outside and WATCHED me struggle in pain as I BEGGED her to help me. An on duty security man saw me struggling and finally and graciously offered to get me to my vehicle.
DO NOT GO HERE. They do not tell you upfront that in addition to your hospital co-pay you will be billed separately the next month for an outrageous amount of money.
Good stay. Friendly professional staff was on point. Got up to my room quicker than I anticipated. I don’t want to come back to any hospital, but if I have too, it’s going to be Gulf Coast. Thanks for taking good care of me!
The latency in time period is due to my BIGGER concern of healing from the accident, I was NEVER going to prioritize remedying your hospital's apparent deficiencies and the lack of concern or care I got from your facility, over my own well-being, of which I was solely responsible for that night, and for too long of a period afterward due to administrative incompetence or faulty policy and procedures. I'm retired as a project/operations Manager; it's NOT incumbent upon me as A PATIENT to police YOUR operations, especially when you were being PAID to care for me. The irony, hypocrisy, and travesty of what was inflicted upon me that night, particularly by that apathetic little girl, has NOT been lost on me over these 2 months of healing.
Went for a pre op at 11:00 a.m. And my blood pressure was very high. Nurse Laurie was amazing. She contacted my physician after his office was closed .he called back and asked her to take me to the emergency room she was so concerned. The emergency Dr. And nurse were great. Finally got my blood pressure down. Got home around 4:00 and Laurie called to check on me. I am so grateful to everyone.
