I have been going to see Dr. Mohammed, almost 6, years. He is the Best! Don't even think about going to another doctor. He is the Best! He has helped me through so many hard times, Like the death of my parents and sister, also, I have PTSD, he truly cares and yes, sometimes, there may be a little wait but that's because, he listen's, and helps everyone, and from my experience with any doctor, there is a wait,if not, then you are going to a doctor, that doesn't do his job. I have recommended Dr . Mohammed, to many people who are saying that doc. Changed their lives. He is#1, in my book! Great Man!!!!!!!
Go anywhere else. Seriously. This doctor didn't just criticize me and the field I have a degree in/my income, he presumed to insult that "women have a harder time making it work in this economy, maybe go back to school for something that matters." In addition to him making me physically stand up so he could see my figure and saying "well you're a little overweight, so maybe you wouldnt have the relationship issues if we got that under control." This is the last thing anyone seeking help should hear, especially from a professional. I may have gotten a liberal arts degree but at least I know human decency. I'm filing a complaint about this physician with the Florida Board. Do not waste your money on being belittled and scorned.
After seeing over a dozen different psychiatrists in 16 years, I had pretty much given up on finding someone who cared enough to get me to open up and work with me on ways to improve my life. Dr. Mohamed has changed my opinion and proven (dispite my cynical nature) that he cares, not just in my life, but making my life better.
When you see Dr. Mohamed, you know he truly cares. He does not rush through his patients on some arbitrary pre-set timetable. Yes, occasionally you have to wait a little past your appointment time, but that is because he personally cares about his patients and takes whatever time is needed with every single person. He listens, asks questions, discusses issues, and possible methods of treatment. If medication is needed, he carefully goes over both the pros and cons of the various possible perscriptions. If your current treatment is less than 100%, he discusses possible changes in lifestyle, treatment, and medication. However, he never pushes an you onto one path. He gives you options and lets you decide which path is right for you.
I am a retired veteran. I went to Dr. Mohamed after years of seeing military and VA doctors. I was immediately impressed with his ability to establish a rapport with me. When the VA would change my doctor, it was like starting over again, and I do not open up easily. However, I found myself talking openly with Dr. Mohamed during my first visit. He has an easy-going personality and a manner that encourages a productive two-way conversation.
Dr. A. Mohamed I have seen for a bit over 4 years. Yes he's a proud mental health Dr & no matter your faith, skin color, where you're born, etc... He treats all people patients & those who are not his patients, he treats all people so respectful & always has a amazing respect for patients under his care & if he is having a bad day, he still smiles & lifts spirits.
