It is a nice place to walk around but really has nothing much. If you go for a trip there are better things to do around. If you are staying at Panama city a few days then maybe you can spend 1 hour there to enjoy the breeze and see people who are fishing.
Good parking and kid friendly!
As peaceful as it is to visit here during the day, it is equally risky to visit at night. The 9/11 memorial and watching the boats are the major appeals here and the boat launch isnt bad but, that is really it. It isn't exactly dangerous after dark but, there is a lot of unsavory activity that does happen here which can't be ignored.
Trying to launch a kayak here is a good walk. You have to park then drag it around a fence. If you try the boat ramp you will get ran over if your not careful. It needs a place to pull up unload then park.
This is a government owned business. Not sure why the government has a strangle hold on the marina business on St Andrews bay. Government should stick to what there best at "security and trash pick up".
