I made a purchase thru their online auction and what a horrible experience. I purchase via online auctions on a weekly basis and this is the first time that I have ever had my items sent to a third party to hold me hostage. I purchase 2 antique lamps and paid for them then was told that I then had to then deal with another business (a UPS store) to arrange for shipping. Really? So I contacted them and was told that for them to pack and ship my package would be double what I paid for the lamps. WHAT?!? Was told that this is the only way to ship it. Was finally able to negotiate the charge but it was still more than I paid for the items. Then to add insult to injury the box came in crushed (was told that this is because of UPS conveyor belts) and my lamp was damaged.
I will never purchased from Specialists of the South again!
