Chase Matthews has done hair for all the ladies in my family since around 2011. We have tried various other salons and we have not found anyone as good as Chase. To his credit, he will do exactly what you asked him to do. He will offer recommendations, but he will not do his own thing because he thinks he knows your hair better than you do. The humility and skill that he has brings us back to him every time. We have never left Reflections Hair Salon disappointed. You will need to call ahead. Chase does not have openings for walk-ins usually.
We love Jen she always gives us the perfect hair cut. I love when she washes my hair its very relaxing. She's worth the $$.
This salon has a history over 50 years of excellent customer service. We have customers hat drive from out of town that only trust us with their hair. Anyone unsatisfied with any part of their hair only need to speak up and we will fix it. We want people to leave happy and feeling good about themselves. Sometimes hair, like a lot of things isn't an exact science. Communication, preexisting conditions and history of hair are major factors in the result. Sometimes with new clients, we have to get to know your hair and even your personality. Sometimes names for certain cuts or styles differ from region to region. When asked if you already have highlights or color on your hair, we often hear no. If you have long hair and have had any in 4 years "that's about 2 foot of hair" then you should say yes. We need to know to make sure those ends don't get bleach with too strong a peroxide. And melt off. So we can watch them. If you say no and your ends start lifting reallyfast where they were, I have to wash that off faster, so your ends aren't damaged. But then your roots are gold. And not light enough. I need to know what brand of Walmart dye you used when you couldn't make it to the salon. Bleach over and henna colors will smoke.... that would be scary. I need to know medicines. If you have a thyroid issue. Maybe on medicine or it's levels are off, color on your head will turn purple. I need to know surgeries. About 6 months after you could have hair loss. Your daily routine. Do you dry and flat iron every day. Do you wash it every day or once a week. Do you put time into it or pony tail and go. It all effects what I do to it when in my chair. Because if you dry and flat iron every day, you don't need bleach, your already frying it. If you don't spend time doing it. You don't need any style that requires work on your hair type. If your only going to come once or twice a year. You might consider a color that will grow out with less demarcation. We can ask questions. And try to learn all this and more your 1st trip to the salon. But let's be realistic. Sometimes it takes time. Sometimes communication is off and the description isn't what matches the image in your head of what you want. Sometimes you then don't speak up what you want differently, and just never go back, but we would fix it, if it wasn't what you wanted and discussed, no feelings hurt. Just dont come in hostile about it.
