Mr. VanDyke is opposing Counsel in my Modification of Child Support & Time Share case. True, he is not my Attorney but after seeing how he has managed or I should say mismanaged this entire case I would NEVER recommend him to anyone unless they really don’t want a case to end. I opened this case May 2016 and from the beginning of it there were countless issues with Mr. VanDyke's office. From not submitting Mandatory Items on time nor correctly to rescheduling Mediation numerous times for no reason and without substantial notice. After waiting 3 months to get an Agreement from his office I filed for Case Management Conference as my Legal Counsel was not getting anywhere with his office. Since March 2017 we have had 3 Case Management Hearings along with a Final Hearing on Aug 15 2017. It is now 3 weeks later and still nothing is done. I have emailed and left several phone messages for him and ALL of them have been utterly ignored and dismissed. Finally yesterday I spoke with his PA Ms. Rios and she assured me I would have an Agreement to sign by this morning…..YEUP YOU GUESSED IT….NO AGREEMENT. I have called their office again today and was put on hold for about 3 minutes. Then I was told that neither Ms. Rios nor Mr. VanDyke were in the office. Why would it take several minutes to find out they weren't there?? I assure you they were there but they don’t want to do their job. I have reported them to the Bar Association for the lack of professionalism as it is inexcusable and the manner in which this case is being handled is disgusting to say the least.
Had faith in him until emails went ignored for weeks on end. Took our money and over two months later has done nothing. He could have submitted a motion on my behalf within days and still refused to. Only answered my emails when I told him I was disputing our $7500 cc and still did nothing and his paralegal still has not contacted us to get all information on the case. Thank goodness we have ARAG insurance as they are helping us get a new attorney for this matter and then for malpractice. Will also be filing complaints as all should do who have a problem. Your attorney cannot abandon nor neglect you. Since we hired him, all these bad reviews came in, so clearly he is doing it across the board. Do not take on new clients if you don't have time for them, the purpose of advanced fees is to make you available to handle that client as they deserve.
This law firm doesn't return calls. I had to call back several times after they told me they would call me back as soon as the got the information. Mr. Van Dyke is incompetent and doesn't present the correct information to his clients. For what he gets paid he should know how to do his job!! Worst lawyer ever!! Only after he messes up several times does he want to fight for his clients. Do not hire him!!
Zack and Jackie did what we thought would be impossible. We are forever grateful that God directed us to them. They will always have a special place in heart for helping us get our precious little girl.
10/2017 Update: This office didn't even show up or have a Sub for a CMC scheduled by the Court yesterday. I attended the CMC alone!! They still haven't even sent an drafted Agreement and our Final Hearing was back in Aug. This office has been and continues to be utterly negligent of my case. I can't imagine anyone being satisfied with his service. I am so glad he isn't my Attorney. It's just a shame he is the opposing counsel for my case. They have done nothing buy make empty claims that things will be done and then when they haven't done them I get ignored when I call or email them to find out what the delay is. To say this has been a horrific experience doesn't even cover it!!
Horrible Staff, Horrible communication! I hired them in May and waited 5 months of hearing nothing from them. I called, I emailed, and never got any responses from his paralegal Jackie. Finally, I called one day and she made me an appointment to meet with zach. I had to leave work early, and when I got there I was under the impression that zach had set up a phone meeting with another lawyer who specializes in my type of cases. That right there should've been a red flag. Turns out, he didn't even set that up and made me leave my job early just to ask me general questions that I had answered to him and his paralegal 5 months ago!!! When I asked why nothing had been done on my case, he said we have a "12 month window" to file. I shouldn't have to wait the entire year when I wanted to file immediately! So I fired them and hired a new attorney. I spoke with jackie on the phone to notify her of this and asked her to mail me my client file, I also emailed her this request. It has been another three weeks with no response and I have not received my file! I am going to be forced to leave my job early again to deal with these unprofessional people just to get what I actually need done that should've been done the first time I requested it!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HIRE SOMEONE ELSE.
