I was so impressed during my visit to the Panama City Centre for Arts- on many fronts! With the variety of art- the quantity- the display- etc. I left with all kinds of inspiring questions percolating in my head: I wonder who the girl is in that portrait, I'm curious about his story, I wonder if that artist panted her from a photograph or her posing like that, that must have taken years- how long?, his journey must have led him specifically to the message of this art- I'm curious what that looked liked? All the things I guess art leaves you pondering. I was moved. I will be back. The extra bonus? THE staff was so engaging and helpful!
Panama City Center for the ARTS is a MUST SEE! No matter if you are just visiting or if you live here. In addition to their inspiring art exhibits by local and national artists, they entertain with musical concerts, film festivals, show movies and much more! You can take classes to learn to paint, sculpt, make jewelry, photography, write poetry and the list goes on!! Located in the heart of our beautiful downtown it is walking distance to restaurants, shopping and even our gorgeous marina!! Walking into The Center for the ARTS you are transported to diverse cultures and artistic enrichment! When you leave you will take with you a new awareness of the talent and artistic culture our town has to offer!! I love this place and it always keeps me coming back for more!! It isn't always the same old thing every time you go, which is the beauty of The Center. Your experiences there will be ever changing and stimulating!! So, it's not a "been there, seen that" place to visit, it is a "been there, going back!" cultural experience!!

Ever since I have been volunteering here, I've seen nothing but motivation, determination, and hard work out into this place. From the staff I've seen care and sincereity in the art. And from the lead director of the Center for the Arts, Mrs. Kim White, I've seen patience and dedication. The downtown Panama City, Center for the arts, in my eyes, is a landmark. The art defines the culture of Panama City. And adds to more culture of downtown itself. I would say the Art center is the heart of downtown and is well deserving of donations and the support to keep its doors open. I predict nothing but growth for downtown as long as this place is there. Well reserved and well deserved.
The staff is friendly and informative. The museum is in PRESTIGIOUS CONDITION!!!
